Nevertheless, the main benefit for right-handed users is that with the number pad and directional arrows to the left, righties can center their keyboards slightly to the left, pulling in their mice for better ergonomic comfort. The fewer and smaller the movements while typing, the better for efficiency and ergonomic comfort. Thus, freeing up the space on the right side of the keyboard allows for closer placement of your mouse, which is ergonomically ideal.
